ENTRY LEVEL GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

PROJECT GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of subsurface exploration work
  • Geotechnical engineering analyses and design related to a variety of projects including bridges, buildings, retaining walls, towers, trenchless technology, pavements, reinforced slopes, and embankments
  • Preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and proposals
  • Preparation of geotechnical engineering calculations, design details and specifications
  • Geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring

Qualification Requirements:

  • BS in Civil Engineering required, MS in Geotechnical Engineering is desirable, a minimum of 2 years of experience in field inspection and office engineering is a plus
  • FE/EIT certification preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to details with good judgment capabilities
  • Ability to follow management direction and work in a team environment
  • Must be able to perform field assignments of engineering projects
  • Field experience with construction inspection and monitoring is preferred
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime

Qualification Requirements:

  • BS in Civil Engineering. MS in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in field inspection and office engineering
  • FE/EIT certification, PE license is a plus
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with good engineering judgment capabilities
  • Ability to manage projects under a team environment
  • Ability to supervise, as well as perform, field assignments of engineering projects
  • Field experience, with construction inspection and monitoring preferred
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime
